EXCELLENCE AWARDS LUNCHEON - FEBRUARY 27, 2006

Since 2000, CECP's Excellence Awards have been presented annually to companies demonstrating outstanding CEO leadership, dedication to measurement, innovation, and partnership in corporate philanthropy. Beginning in 2004, CECP created the Directors Award to recognize a nonprofit organization that distinguished itself by building an effective partnership with a company in its community. The nonprofit award is accompanied by a $25,000 cash donation made by CECP Directors.

Business leaders, chairpersons, and CEOs representing America's most generous corporations gathered at CECP's annual Excellence Awards Luncheon in New York City on February 26, 2007, co-hosted by The McGraw-Hill Companies. Over 140 CEOs, industry leaders, and press attended the luncheon and awards presentation. Photos

In honor of the event, February 27, 2006 was proclaimed the second annual National Corporate Philanthropy Day by President Bush, US Secretary of Commerce Gutierrez, Governor Pataki, and Mayor Bloomberg to recognize and promote the tremendous philanthropic work of corporations in communities around the world.
