In this presentation, "Creating Shared Value: The Role of Corporations in Economic and Social Development," Professor Michael Porter outlined the concept of shared value, suggesting that there are many opportunities to improve company competitiveness, the social agenda, the natural environment, and local economic development simultaneously.

This session, titled, "Measuring Social Impact, Business Benefits, and Investor Returns" brought together leading thinkers and practitioners for a discussion of what works in impacts measurement, and where further progress is needed to support greater grantmaker accountability.
