Special Program on Philanthropy with the United Nations.
In recognition of International Corporate Philanthropy Day, the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and the UN Office for Partnerships, in conjunction with CECP, for the third year hosted a special program on opportunities for philanthropy to help advance the Millennium Development Goals. This year’s event will focus on the theme "Engaging philanthropy to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment." Confirmed panelists included Alan Hassenfeld, Chairman of Hasbro, Michael Patsalos-Fox, Vice-Chairman of McKinsey, Sharon Allen, Chairman of Deloitte LLP, and Sharon D’Agostino, Vice-President, Worldwide Corporate Contributions and Community Relations, Johnson & Johnson.
