HOT TOPIC: SHOULD PHILANTHROPY FALL WITH THE MARKET?

At CECP's CEO Conference, when asked "How important should the economy be in determining corporate cash contributions?" 83% of attendees responded that the economy should be neutral to not important. CECP Honorary Chair and Director John Whitehead has strong words regarding the question "Will corporate philanthropy fall if corporate profits continue to decline?" Read John's opinion.

PRESS SUCCESS: NAT'L CORPORATE PHILANTHROPY DAY

CECP and the corporate giving community received extraordinary press attention for National Corporate Philanthropy Day. Corporate philanthropy stories were covered by The Economist, The Financial Times, Forbes, and in broadcasts throughout the week on CNBC, reaching an audience of more than 167 million people. As CECP continues to serve as the Voice for Corporate Philanthropy and helps create media opportunities for members, we count National Corporate Philanthropy Day 2008 as a huge success for generating press for the field.
