"We expect corporations who call the Big Apple their home to be good citizens and to give back to the community that gives so much to them. We applaud the corporations who have given generously to important causes here and abroad, and commend CECP for playing such an active role in encouraging this behavior in the corporate community."   "I commend the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy (CECP) on this National Corporate Philanthropy Day 2008, for its dedication to the causes of corporate stewardship and volunteerism. American businesses play a defining role in community development and creating corporate leaders, such as those represented by CECP. You member companies serve as excellent examples that illustrate how giving and service can make a profound difference in local communities."
