Question
V.C: Grants Made
o
Number
of Grants: You may also think of this as “number of contribution transactions”
with recipient nonprofit organizations. For many companies, this can be understood
as the number of checks written or number of product-donation transactions. The
number of product donations given is not the number of products donated, but
rather the number of times donations are distributed to nonprofit
organizations.
§ The purpose of this question
is to calculate “average grant size,” which is computed by dividing total
giving by the number of grants reported here.
§ CECP does not include the
value of matching gifts. Therefore, do not include the number of grants
made as a result of the corporate match of employee giving. Also exclude
Dollars for Doers grants.
o
Number
of Recipient Organizations: This is the number of 501(c)(3) organizations
receiving grants from your company. Do not double-count organizations.
