Charles Moore
Executive Director
Charles Moore has served as executive director of the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy since the organization's founding in 1999. From 1994-1999, he was Director of Athletics at Cornell University. Prior to that, Charles was president and CEO of multinational manufacturing companies including Ransburg Corporation, Clevepak Corp., Allied Thermal (a subsidiary of Interpace Corporation), Lapp Insulator (a division of Interpace Corporation) and Lenape Forge (a division of Gulf+Western Industries). He also served as managing director of Peers & Co. (investment banking), CEO of Peers Management Resources, Inc. (management consulting) and vice chairman of Advisory Capital Partners, Inc. (investment advising).
Charles is currently Governor of the National Art Museum of Sport, a former member of the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, and a National Board alumni member of the Smithsonian Institution. From 1992-2000, he was Public Sector Director of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and chairman of that organization's audit committee. He has also served as chairman of the USOC's 2012 Bid City Evaluation Task Force.
Charles won a gold medal in the 400m hurdles in the 1952 Summer Olympics. He finished second in Sullivan Award balloting for top U.S. amateur athlete in 1952, and was selected as one of "100 Golden Olympians" in 1996. In 1984, Charles received the Herbert Adams Memorial Award for Advancement of American Sculpture. In 2008, CRO magazine elected him as Nonprofit & Nongovernmental Organization "CEO of the Year". In 2010, Moore received the United Nation's MDG Award for Business Community Leadership in Corporate Philanthropy in honor of his work advancing Global Partnerships.
He is a 1947 graduate of Mercersburg Academy and a 1951 BME graduate of Cornell University. He is married to Judith M. Moore, director of the Music Library at Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue in New York City. They have nine children and thirteen grandchildren.

Margaret Coady
Director
As CECP's director, Margaret leads the organization's long-range strategic and operational planning, authors quantitative and qualitative research reports, runs the annual Corporate Philanthropy Summit and Excellence Awards in Corporate Philanthropy selection process, and manages CECP's growing team of program specialists.
Margaret also directs the Committee's partnership initiatives including joint research and events such as the development of Principles of Social Investment with the United Nations Global Compact, the release of a dollar valuation for corporate pro bono service in collaboration with the Taproot Foundation, and the forward-looking research report "Shaping the Future: Solving Social Problems through Business Strategy" with McKinsey & Company.
Since joining the organization in early 2005, Margaret's close work with member companies, oversight of the Committee's proprietary Corporate Giving Standard online benchmarking system, and her authorship of four editions of the annual "Giving in Numbers" report have established her as a leading authority on emerging trends in the field of corporate giving. She lectures for national and international audiences and has appeared on television and radio programs including BBC World Report, CNBC Morning Call, and CNBC Street Signs.
Prior to joining CECP, Margaret worked as a senior IT consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and played a key technical role in several global custom software implementation projects for Fortune 500 clients.
A native of New York City, Margaret graduated with magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors from Williams College and was Valedictorian of her class at Columbia Business School.

Courtney King Murphy
Manager, Strategic Engagement
In June 2011, Courtney assumed the role of Manager, Strategic Engagement, serving as the primary liaison between CECP and its community of giving professionals. In this position, Courtney builds upon her years of experience as Manager, Communications, responsible for increasing the visibility of corporate philanthropy in print, online, and broadcast media and for spearheading the media platform of International Corporate Philanthropy Day. Courtney has been instrumental in setting the agenda for executive discussions at the Board of Boards CEO Conferences and the annual presentation of the Excellence Awards in Corporate Philanthropy. Courtney has presented CECP’s research at leading industry conferences and, as editor of The Corporate Philanthropist, curated the views of thought leaders and authored articles about corporate engagement on important societal issues.
Prior to CECP, Courtney served as a press officer at Sotheby's Auction House. Previously, Courtney worked at ABC News in Washington, D.C. for the current affairs programs "Nightline" and "This Week with George Stephanopoulos." She graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Georgetown University with a B.A. in English and earned an M.A. in Contemporary Art at Sotheby's Institute of Art in London. Courtney has run seven marathons, raising funds for charities including Fred's Team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Alison Poppe Rose
Manager, Standards and Measurement
Alison manages the strategic direction of CECP's proprietary corporate philanthropy benchmarking initiative, the Corporate Giving Standard (CGS). She works one-on-one with Committee members and subscribers to collect data using a standardized measurement framework and helps corporate giving officers create compelling presentations for senior management that inform their budget decisions. As the research specialist, Alison's analysis includes identifying emerging trends on matching gift programs, international giving, staffing, employee volunteerism, and other aspects of corporate philanthropy.
Alison joins CECP from the higher education sector, having worked at the University of Southern California's Rossier School of Education and Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. Her academic background includes a master's degree in public administration from the University of Southern California's School of Policy, Planning and Development and a bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, from Middlebury College as a double major in mathematics and religion.
Carmen Perez
Senior Analyst
As part of CECP’s Standards and Measurement team, Carmen provides custom analysis for member companies using CECP’s Corporate Giving Standard (CGS) system. The goal of this work is to assist members as they make the case internally for increasing the level and quality of their corporate philanthropy programs. Carmen also supports the global expansion of the CGS measurement initiative.
Carmen joins CECP from the non-profit sector. Most recently, she was the Organizer and then CEO of a newly opened federal credit union in Long Island City, Queens. Her background includes work in the microfinance and community economic development fields, as well as experience in data and project management for the City of New York. Carmen holds a Masters in Public Administration, Financial Management Specialization, from the NYU Wagner School of Public Service and a bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a triple major in International Studies, Political Science and French.
John Martz
Special Projects Associate
In his role as Special Projects Associate, John oversees all elements of event management and execution for CECP, including International Corporate Philanthropy Day, the Board of Boards CEO Conference, the Corporate Philanthropy Summit, and the Excellence Awards in Corporate Philanthropy. John also develops and maintains CECP’s relationships with the teams of local and national vendors responsible for producing the organization’s printed reports and marketing collateral throughout the year.
John comes to CECP with more than ten years of experience in production, having previously worked in Boston and Orlando where he held various events and communications positions with The Walt Disney Company, NBC-Universal and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. A native of Central Florida, John attended Rollins College where he received a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Writing.
Alison Vultaggio
Executive Assistant
Alison serves as the Executive Assistant, providing complete administrative support to the Executive Director, as well as assisting in the management of CECP's events and daily operations. Alison brings over eight years of administrative assistant experience to CECP. She holds a B.A. in corporate communications from Manhattan College.
Rebecca Rutherford
Office Manager
Rebecca serves as the Office Manager, directing all office operations as well as human resources and finance. Rebecca brings over seven years of office management experience from various industries including health care, designing and mobile advertising. Rebecca holds an Associates Degree in Applied Science as well as a Certification in Visual Communications from Gibbs College in Montclair, NJ.
